Food/Drink Poolside daily 'hire'

Hello everyone,

a tad disappointed on no replies

to my earlier posting/enquiry 5th March re taking fish/seafood into restaurants/corkage on the same

and cost of spending a day by a hotel pool when we are staying in accomodation without aqua facilities.

I hope that one of you local experts could give me some ideas.

Hope this prompts some information.

you can definately visit other hotels for the pool although I am sorry i cant help with the cost as I have only stayed at hotels that had the pools but it would be very little i am sure. I doubt you would be able to take your own fish to restaurants although I maybe totally wrong but the restaurants buy the fish fresh in the mornings from the fishermen, its out on display at the front of the restaurants and you pick what you want and then they cook it, crayfish and prawns will be in in tanks, you would be taking half their profit if you brought your own. This doesnt mean to say the fish is always fresh though.

Hello Roger

Many hotels will allow you to use their pool facilities, the rainbow restaurant near to the jasmine palace hotel costs 150 INR per day for use of the pool sun lounger and towel.

There are others such as the Sea face hotel which charge a lot more, there they wanted 300INR per person two years ago, needless to say we have not been back...

Hope this helps

Hi Ian,

Thanks again: that was a good help. I just like to be organised when I arrive anywhere new. All of the pointers, based on our likes and dislikes are pointing to a cracking good holiday. Have you any good drivers with new (%26#39;ish !) cars who you could recommend

for trips out.

Regards

Roger

Hello Roger

I would wait until you get here and then do some bartering the cars range from big spacious old ambassadors to the latest 4X4 with A/C and everything in between.

Hope this helps

Regards

Ian
