santana hotel - stayed there or planning to ?

First time in Goa, flying out on the 4th April, and would like to find out more about the Santana Hotel. Anyone stayed there ? Best rooms ? Best beach shacks ? Would love any feedback ? Cheers.

Hi Lfcac, You%26#39;ve picked a good hotel for your first trip! We stayed at the Santana last year and loved it. The only drawback was the tiny pool, but they now have another bigger one so I hear. The Calamari shack just at the bottom of Santana%26#39;s garden is good but we preferred a walk to the left and returned to the one we have used on previous trips. We%26#39;re also going on 4th April via Bangalore. We liked the rooms nearer reception although our first room at the back of the complex had a separate kitchen/sitting area. All have air con which is a must in April. Ask for Carol and Anne and we%26#39;ll meet for a Kings and give you some more tips if you like. Five weeks today-I can%26#39;t wait.

Stayed close by the Santana, looked to be a nice hotel. Can thoroughly recommend the Calamari, is a lot more than the average beach shack. Excellent food and service. Comfy sun beds with clean towels supplied - ah wish I was there now!!!!!!!!!

We are also flying out via Bangalore on 4th April staying for a fortnight at Santana. All we%26#39;ve heard is good things and getting really excited now. From last review on this site, am assuming that there are constructional works going on next door, so may be worth us asking for rooms away from this??!! Anyone got anymore information on this and what the best rooms to ask for are? Thanks. See you there Lfcac.

We%26#39;re flying out to Goa next weekend and are staying at Santana Beach Resort for 2 weeks. I%26#39;ll post a review when we return.

I am going to be there from the 3rd April-I have heard, and read, that it is a nice hotel. Have been to Goa too many times to count now but, never stayed here. Looking forward to it!

Certainly looking forward to some sun!!!! We%26#39;%26#39;re going to Mumbai for a few days first then, %26#39;%26#39;popping down%26#39;%26#39; to Goa.

You will not be dsappointed with this hotel, as for the building work going on next door, we never heard anything from our room and we were quite close to the works but there was some disturbance if you chose to spend the day at the hotel pool (the new one) but it was not unbearable, just a bit of a nuisance, anyway the lads working on the site seemed to spend most of the day sunbathing on the roof of the building having a birds eye view of the ladies in their bikinis, must admit we found it amusing!!!
