hi there again, has anyone travelled with thomsons yet? i flew longhaul with first choice last year and found them brilliant!! have booked with them again but i am flying on a thomsons flight do first choice use thomsons flight numbers, if not what are the thomsons planes like?

We flew with Thomsons late last year, and the aircraft was actually a First Choice airbus, but with a ';plaque'; by the door announcing it was now Thomsons - assume that they will be repainting their whole fleet at some point. We have booked to go to Goa next month, with First Choice, and have also got a Thomson flight number. Spoke to their helpline, who confirmed the aircrafts and service on board will be exactly the same.

Our flight to Goa was officially a Thomson flight, but the aircraft was First Choice, and the crew were all FC as well. Asked one of the crew how we would know in advance if it is going to be a Thomson or FC aircraft, and they were pretty vague, but re-iterated that the service on the Thomson flights would be just as good as on FC. Guess we will have to wait until we travel on one to see if they are right! Incidentally, we stayed at two different hotels in Goa this time, and we had a FC rep at the first one, and a Thomson rep at the second!
