We will be connecting through New Delhi later this month to visit Nepal and will spend a few days in central New Delhi. I am looking for suggestions for sites or activites close to the Int%26#39;l airport on the return connection that are quick and easy find within a 6 hours layover. The idea is to avoid these places in our first trip through.
Can we store large backbacks in the airport?

Let me add we will arrive about 1600 and depart around midnight. I read the other options for staying at the airport, but had hoped that arriving earlier in the day would help.

I suggest you to go straight to airport after your dinner, maybe at Connaught Place which is central part of Delhi and you can do some shopping as well, you have to report 3-4 hours before your flight these days due to tight security.
Nothing much to see near the airport.

If you manage to get out of the airport within an hours time you could just about manange to catch the Qutab Minar at sunset (around 6.15 pm).
Else head to Dilli Haat for some last minute shopping and snacking - this is open till 9 in the night.
