Booking jet airways problem usingcredit card from Australia?

Hi, can any one help me? I am trying to make a flight booking (from Australia) using my Australian credit card, via the Jet Airways web site. It lets me put in all the details, and then, instead of accepting the payment, it says it cannot proceed. It seems ';geared up'; for using Australian cards, as the price is quoted in AUS dollars. I have successfully used the same card for Kingfisher airline. Can anyone help - is this usual with Jet Airways? Should I keep trying? After I try about 3 times, it says I have ';exceeded maximum number of tries';. Any advice please?

It is usually not a problem.

Two options:

1. Wait a couple of hours and try again, just in case this is a technical glitch.

2. Book through an online portal. I use makemytrip.com, but I think you can use expedia or others as well.

Hi again, is makemytrip reliable? Do they send an E ticket to your email adress? My daughter will not necessarily have access to a printer. Does she just arrive at check in with her Credit Card, and no need for a paper print out? Thanks so much - again!

Yes they are, it%26#39;s a popular portal, and I have personally booked at least 10 of our holiday tickets with them without any trouble.

When you book the ticket there%26#39;s a page at the end of the process which it allows you to print. In addition, they send an email ticket. Your daughter needs to print in Australia and take it, or she can go to an internet cafe somewhere and print it, but she needs a print out.

You cannot enter ANY Indian airport without a valid ticket, either an e-ticket printout or an actual ticket. She has to keep a printout in her hand, to show at the airport entry gate to the security guard even prior to checkin. She will also need to show her passport to the security guard. At checkin, it%26#39;s the same thing.

Yes, she definitely needs a paper copy. What I do is take one with me and also email a copy to myself* at a webmail address (yahoo, hotmail etc) - then I can always access another copy if I need it.

*Along with all the details I need to access my online banking (disguised) and a scan of the important pages of my passport!
