Rajathan Weather

The Trip Advisor article on Rajathan weather reports that it becomes very hot only for two months - Mid April to Mid June. I am planning to make trip from the 3 rd to 15th April. Would this be a bad time weather wise?

Rajathan Weather

Hi, chitranganie

Weather in Rajasthan

The best time to visit is October to March.

April start to gett hot. but still you can visit our Rajasthan, carrying sun cream and good hat is better to go in desert for couple of days of A night.

cold months(December ,January and Febuary).

morning and evenings are cold in March but in April is just cool, mid day is hot so you must stay in hotel if in cities or if out in desert country-side then take some break under big tree and enjoy some fresh fruits and drink lots of m.water.

3rd to 15th April is not bad time weather wise, but not the peasent.

welcome to Camel Country The Rajasthan.

cheers

If you are coming from Colombo the big difference you will find is the humidity difference. Rajasthan is dry compared to Colombo and the heat is like a dry furnace :)

April is quite hot.

The temperature for Delhi in April last year ranged from 34 C to 21 C. Some days were 42 C (peak afternoon), and the minimum was 15 C (night).

Here is the link for Jaipur in April: it is similar to Delhi.

Rajasthan has a mountain range running through it, diagonally, from north east to south west. To the upper side of this there is less rain and it is desert country (Jaisalmer). To the lower side is it cooler and greener, although in April there won;t be much greenery.

Here is the April weather last year in Jaisalmer:

You can do your sightseeing and visits comfortably provided you plan your day to avoid the hottest part from around 1 pm to 5 pm. Most monuments open early so you can wind up your sightseeing by noon. Start your day early and take a nap in the afternoon!!

Dear chitranganie, you cen make your tour befor 15tn. april in this time from 12:00 o noon to 3:30 pm is litil bit hot but i think u cen make u r tour

Thank you very much. These responses were certainly useful. Will take your advise on starting the day early.

And also, try getting hotels which have pools.
