I am planning to be in Darjeeling around March 15 for 4/5 days. Can anyone please let me know any potential political unrest around that time. Also please suggest some moderate to cheap hotels with good views of mountain.

An earlier post from bjorn suggests that things may calm down as the tourist season gets underway. It may also be worthwhile contacting the Indian Consulate in the US for information.
