Children eating out Delhi

Hello.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children aged 6 and 4) travelling in April, and we%26#39;ll be Delhi for a few days in between various trips. Does anyone have any good ideas for eating out with children, particularly for when they tire of Indian food. On previous child-free trips I have been fairly relaxed about what I%26#39;ve eaten, but I feel I should be more cautious with the little ones.

A second, unrelated question: Is the National Rail Museum worth a visit?

Many thanks!

Hi !

Most of the Eating Joints in Connaught Place (CP) serve Western food. Embassy and United Coffee House at CP are good. At Khan Market there are many western restaurants, as this is a favorite market for Expats.

In CP and at many other places you have McDonalds, KFC, Subway, Pizza Hut, Dominos also.

All 5 star hotels have excellent western restaurants. Taj at SP Marg has Orient Express a super swish western restaurant.

And National Rail Museum is an emphatic yes ! Your Kids will hugely enjoy this place. Before going you may have a look at www.nationalrailmuseum.org.

Hope this helps !

Great! That%26#39;s all very helpful. And we%26#39;ll definitely make a visit to the Rail Museum.

Thank you.

Since you have young children, I would also recommend a visit to Shankar%26#39;s Doll museum ......it%26#39;s fascinating! They%26#39;ve got a collection of dolls from all over the world.

Shankar%26#39;s doll museum situated at ITO used to be a good place, but it has not kept pace with the time and maintenance is also little low... the places seems run down....

Delhi is famous for its food as well , Delhi might offer u some of the best cusine of India, Mainly Mughlai...

In Short u better go for a ';Gulatis Resturent'; at Pandara Market near India Gate

They serve buffe lunch at a price of 349 PP, in which they serve 13 types of India Dishes both Veg and Non Veg ,3 types of sweet dish and 10 type of salads, Soups and butter milk and there food is very delicious and less spicy good for ut tate buds and its a very hygenicv place to eat.

Happy Eating

Yes Railway Museum is worth to see, but also u may can visit to Akshar dham temple , on saturday they perform special light and sound show.

Good info. Thanks to all.

Regarding eating out, is it safe to drink filtered water or is bottled water our best option?

Allways ask for seald water bottel at ur table !

Good advice. Thanks. We are visiting some families at their homes. Is filtered water there OK?

Hi - I%26#39;ve just got back from a trip to India and had the same doubts about drinking water. All families we visited had reverse osmosis filters fitted to their water supply - upon checking this further I discovered that this water was extremely clean and totally drinkable. Do a search on reverse osmosis water and you%26#39;ll see how clean it is.
