Coco Beach

I read i while back that all the shacks had been shut on Coco beach due to fishermen complaining about them moving further down?

I was wondering if anybody had any more recent news, as much as i wouldn%26#39;t like to swijm in the water there it is nice to spend a day there.

Coco Beach

I can only answer for last year when I visited. The beach has reduced in size because of the monsoons.

I wouldn%26#39;t swim in the water....petrol, diesel, rubbish...no thanks! Not the place it used to be.

I guess it hasn%26#39;t changed that much this year.

Coco Beach

Alberts Oddessy is still there but it has no beach area - the monsoon has affected that part of Coco Beach very badly. However, the old Portuguese house is still there. We decided to go back to Coco Beach in January, more as a trip down memory lane and were pleased to bump into Orlando (the son of the late Albert) - who now spends all his time doing Dolphin trips from the beach. We used to hire him to go fishing around the rocks towards Aguada.

The beach was awful - not a patch on what it used to be. Very crowded because everyone is squashed together and a strong diesel smell from the many boats doing the dolphin trips. We vowed then we would never go back - memories are sometimes better left as memories!

Hi everyone,

I just returned from my holiday on Sunday.

We went on Coco Beach as a part of our Dolphin spotting trip.

My advice is-if you can, please stay away from it. To say that the beach is disgusting is not enough. I wrapped myself in my towel and was praying for the hour we were to stay there to pass as quickly as possible.

However, the dophin spotting was great. I loved it.

all very very sad, givin goa a miss this easter off to kerala again.

we havent been for 9 years but giving it another go

not so sure we are going to be so impressed as we used to be

it was losing its charm on our last visit.

sorry to hear albert is no longer with us but we will go to see orlando for sure

might be a mistake i feel this revisiting old good times and we are there for 3 weeks heyho will have to have a few more kingfishers to compensate
