Staying in Varkala, and visiting Cochin end of March/April. My 6th trup, but looking for a change of scene...Would love recommendations for cheap(ish) place to stay in Backwaters, either Appelpy or Cochin. Would prefer picturesque to luxury - but prepared to pay more for an outstanding location/food/culture. Don%26#39;t want a houseboat, but to be off the beaten track. Many thanks!
