ItineraryDistances are a lot of Delhi specially with the traffic and you may not be able to cover all this in two days. I assume your mode of transport is car. None of these places are close by but I%26#39;ll try and club them together:
Gandhi Smriti and Red fort are close to each other then its India Gate and Humayun%26#39;s tomb. Lakshminarayan temple is also in the vicinity. Finish off the day with Lajpat Nagar or Dilli Haat.
Day 2 could be Lotus temple, Qutub Minar, Chattarpur Temple and Akshardam, You could do Qutub Minar, then Chattarpur and Lotus Temple and then move on to Chor Bizzare and then do Akshardham post lunch. Or wind up the day and eat dinner at Chor Bizzare
ItineraryMy views:
Gandhi Smriti - Nice Place
India Gate - A war memorial, Very near to Indian Parliament, President%26#39;s House and Govt. Secratariat.
Dilli Haat - Very Intersting crafts market sans the touts....
Lotus Temple - Impressive architecture
Red Fort - Must
Qutub Minar - Must
Chattar pur Temple - Good
Lakshmi Narayan Temple - Good
Lajpat Nagar Delhi - What for ? Too crowded and unorganised !
Humanyun%26#39;s Tomb - Taj is modeled on this.
Akshardham Temple (Tues) - Huge temple complex. a hit with locals, generally huge rush.
Now some more suggestions for your consideration:
1. National Museum, Janpath - A teasure trove
2. Railway Museum - If you are with kids.
3. Lodhi Garden/garden of five senses - for tranquility
4. Purana Qila (old fort)- Ruins
Chor Bizzare is at Asaf Ali marg, hence it%26#39;s closer to Red Fort and Gandhi Smriti. However, it%26#39;s not that far from Akshardham also. So you may plan accordingly.
Are there any of these near our hotel? We are staying at the Taj Mahal? We have a last day (not included) so we could leave some places until then?

Depends how comprehensive your visits need to be. I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll cram all that into two days. I just got back from there and the traffic was a nightmare - there is loads of construction work going on. Red Fort took us two hours to walk around properly, Qutub Minar a similar time. India Gate we spent around an hour or so taking photos and wandering around the park and surrounding area.
Be aware that the entrance fees for some of these places are much much higher for foreigners than Indian nationals. (They have separate ticket booths for foreigners).
