Tailors in Candolim vicinity

Hi there!

Can anyone recommend a good tailor in the candolim vicinity? I%26#39;m going next week and looking to have some clothes made. Will tailors generally prefer cash or will some take credit cards? Many thanks.

The only advice is try to find out where the locals buy there clothe and don%26#39;t ask a taxi driver to take you to one as they wont take you to the best but to the one where they get the best commission. The first time we went we trusted the taxi driver and got ripped off in a Kashmiri Tailorors with dodgy ';silk'; since then have had some great clothes made by buying the clothe from a locals materialshop then going to a seperate tailor I have paid cash and have also used a credit card.

Weefi the best thing is a personal recommendation , sorry I dont know of any tailors in Candolim but I am sure either before you go someone will advise on trip advisor and if not wait until you get there and speak to other tourists as the clothes only take the tailors days to make - they will prefer the cash as do most local businesses

We had loads of clothes made while out there this year. It was at the tailors at the Phoenix park inn at Candolim.

It was Natasha and Fatima, I don%26#39;t remember the tailors name, but he was excellent. My husband was so happy with his suit, that he had a second one made.

We paid with cash, though I think they accepted cards.

I had 2 suits and half a dozen silk shirts made to measure at ';super taliors'; in candolim last year it can be found by turning left at brunos towards the beach about 50 yards on the right just before you reach ';big daddys';.

hey I know a tailor called Armani de Goa and it%26#39;s owned by Taj. Go there as he makes great clothes but you will also find holidayers sitting in there having a chat too! I highly recommend it. Hope this helps! Enjoy.

Sartaj you are not supposed to recommend yourself and advertise your shop on the forum. Other people can but not anyone belonging to tha shop.
