Agra in June or Sept--mosquitoes?

We have to make a decision by early next week. We have a great offer to visit the Taj Mahal, Delhi, Agra and one other city. The two dates we are considering are in early June and early September. Which season would be better? Are the mosquitoes more abundant at one time? Could you give us some pluses and minuses for travel in June and September?

Agra in June or Sept--mosquitoes?

Hi, June is very hot here temp. in day time can be as high as around 45degree Cetigarade or 47 also (app. 122 degree Farenheit). it is very dry weather condition also.

But we get some tourist in June also those who do sight seeing early in morning and late evening when it is comparatively comfortable. As there are few tourist that time so hotels are nearly empty and all the facilities are just for you and you can feel like king.

In September more tourists visiting these places,

temprature also around 37 degree centigrade in day time , we get some rain that time so humid and sticky if it is windy than certainly very pleasent.Hope it will be like that when you visit these places.

As for mosquitoes June is not good time for them to survive due to high temp. September good time for

humans so good for them also.

Agra in June or Sept--mosquitoes?

June will be hellishly hot. Temperature will range from a low of 84 to 104 F.

September is also hot, but not as hot as June. The Temperature range will be 77-93 F.

However, let this not deter you. You can always do site seeing in early mornings and evening. Taj and other places open at 6 AM.It%26#39;s advisable to stay inside from 11 AM - 4 PM.

Mosquitoes will be there in both the months. But you can always carry a repellent cream. or you may buy an elecric evaporaotrs named All Out/Good Knight. It use an anti-mosquito liquid which evaporates through a carbon wick.

Deepak Ji,

It seems we both were replying at the same time.

Thanks for the responses. Mosquitoes love me and I try to avoid places where they are. But, if they are always around in India, I guess I have no way to really avoid them. Maybe June.

Does the Agra area get downpours in September? Isn%26#39;t that the monsoon season? Or are the rains not so bad in Agra?

I just read both of your responses to my rain question on the Taj thread. Thank you for your answers.
