In my 2 week india trip haridwar was the best. i stayed for 3 days in Hotel Ganga Azure. went to risikesh .peaceful.

one thing i do not like is why they allow scooter on bridge and they very noisy they keep barking horn behind youon bridge so where you suppose to go?

Overall haridwar was best place in whole trip.

I like big ben where we went once. Then tried local tasty thali in RANGHUVANSHI IN SHIVMURTI STREET. I can say that was best thali in 2 week in india for 45 rupees.

one thing for rail travel in satabdi express was good but not info on station. Was shown our coach on near bridge but came 5 coach later so have to run at last minute with bags. not nice if if packed or got big bags.

Did you try Chotiwala for food in Rishikesh?What about rafting down the Ganges?

No we did not try because we been to Big ben in morning and full . No time for rafting was tied after 12 days in rail tour which was good.
