I am travelling to Haridwar with one full day onto rishikesh.

I would like to ask what could i explore in rishikesh within one day i mea which place i may visit at a greater height for a cule of hours

One spare day in Rishikesh is best utilized by either visiting Neelkanth Mahadev temple if you have a religious bent of mind,or by rafting from Marine Drive to Laxman Jhoola.In case you are intrested in a spa experience visit Ananda,but they are expensive.
