taxi from airport to Varkala - how much?

Hi, I am unsure whether to prebook my transfer from the airport to our hotel in Varkala direct with the hotel or get a taxi. The hotel is charging 12,000.

Dear friend ,

The charges at the pre paid counter at international/Domestic terminal

To Varkala -

INR 3093 (Non A/C CAB - Tata Indica or Amby )

INR 3827 ( AA/C CAB - Tata Indica or Amby )

INR 3493 ( Non A/C CAB - Toyota Qualis/Innova/Tavera)

INR 4241 ( A/C CAB - Toyota Qualis/Innova/Tavera)

the charges are nett for up and down . This would cover a total kilometer ussage of 400 kms ( up and down ). There might be a difference of few kilometers till the resort / hotel from the point where the airport distance are calcualted , hence there might be a additonal cost of INR 100 - 200 depends on the location of the hotel .

the route is through national high way until kallambalam (after kollam) from where you take a deviation to varkala beach.

You can book your taxi on arrival at the airport

I%26#39;m sorry, I mean the hotel is charging us 1,200 so that is actually really good in comparison to the taxi prices at the airport isn%26#39;t it?

You havent indicated if you are arriving at Trivandrum or Cochin.If it is Trivandrum, then it is about 55-60 kms to Varkala, and the cost should not exceed about Rs 750-800.If it is from Cochin then 1200 is a steal.

seeing 12000! i was confused

the actual charges are less if you book it through the counter at the exit of the domestic terminal

approx 800 to 850 is reasonable
