Help on Manali & Shimla

Hi

I’m planning to travel to Shimla (2days)/Manali (3days) next month. I need some help on the following, 1] How could i get the HPTDC VOLVO to Manali organized before traveling to India. Would they pick people from the hotels or do you need to go to a particular place (in Delhi) to get in?

2] Any budget hotel that could be recommend in Manali ?

3] Shimla thought of staying at Hotel Surya. Any advice?

4] I am thinking of taking the tours oganised by HPTDC in Manali and Shimla http://www.himachal.nic.in/hrtc. Any one done tours with them. Assume it needs to be booked in advance. If so how to do it? Would they pick people from the hotels or do you need to go to a particular place

If you are booking with HPTDC then be rest assured ,it is a goverment organisation and will suit you.Normally packages include cost of travel in a bus.You will have to board the bus from HPTDC office in Delhi.Manali and Shimla both have hotels to suit all budgets.You can check this site to read reviews of hotels.Again if you are booking with HPTDC you need not worry about hotels as you will be booked in their hotels.You can book by visiting their official site

There is daily bus services by HPTDC govt of Himachal pradesh from Delhi to Shimla and manali,its not possible to book them online..but the private tour operators Raj Volvo ..u can book from them online bus tickets.

I reccomend hotel manali Majestic in Manali its nice hotel in very less price and the guys over there are very nice

For Hotel in Shimla,i also worked with them ,there hotel is very nice and services are also very good.

HPTDC don`t provide pickup facilitys so u have to reach on ur own at there Janpath office for departure.

Raj travels runs an efficient and deluxe bus service to Manali which can be booked at www.rajnationalexpress.in

Both cost Rs. 850 or so. However, journey time is 14:30 Hours.
