Planning a Trip to Shimla around Mid Apr09

Hi All

I am planning a trip to shimla around Mid Apr09.

Currently I am staying in Delhi.

Please let us about the weather condition at that time and will there be an snow at that time?

Please suggest some good Budget hotel also.

Looking forward suggestion from all.

April,May,June are peak months for travelling to Shimla,more so May and June.Weather would be pleasant with a slight nip in the air in the evenings and mornings.Temp would be in the range of 20 to 30C.These days with global warming temps are a bit high,earlier temps ranged between 12 to 23C.Definately you will find no snow there. For Hotels, you can try the search option on this site. Besides pvt hotels you can also try HPTDC Hotels. you can also plan a visit to Naldhera, Mashobra, Kufri, Chail, Narkanda, Depending on your iteneary.

I am surprised you are staying in Gurgaon near Delhi and expecting to see snow in Shimla in June. You will be surprised to hear that this winter also there hardly has been any snowfall in Shimla till date. The weather has been turning warmer every year requiring fans in May-June. Kufri will be cooler than Shimla plus Shimla is much more commercial than surrounding areas of Chail, Kufri, Naldehra etc.

Not sure what your budget is. But there is a new resort called Cedar Heights resorts that we really enjoyed at. It is a 20-30 minute drive from Kufri.
