Hi
I have been looking and looking for hotels.
read the reviews and you get more confused. One hotel will have one reviewer say stay away and the other reviewer will basically contradict the other reviewer.
I have looked at one Hotel opposite Sai Baba ashram.
Why?I think it will be quite and the street and slower pace for me to go for a casual walk.
Anyone know about this area in Whitefield or even the Hotel Unique Residency?
My last visit to Bangalorre,1990, I stayed at Nilgris nest and the street noise was unbearable.
also of a sensitive area , are the beggars still as persistant as before.Ruined some of my walks
Sai Baba residency hotels
My learning from TA has been to check the posting history of the reviewer. Be wary of reviews of single posters, although they may be sincere and genuine.
Sometimes, hotel managements pose as a genuine traveller in order to give positive reviews and publicity for their establishments.
In negative reviews, note the specific complaint and if that maybe of concern to you.
The number of beggars may vary from location to location within a city. Only someone with current knowledge about the specific locality would be able to provide a definitive answer.
Sai Baba residency hotels
I am a Bangalorean, and I haven%26#39;t heard of this hotel. Having said that, Whitefield is away from the center of Bangalore - and unless you are visiting the ashram, it might be a bit taxing to stay so far away.
As for beggars - I am not sure I can compare their persistence to 1990, but they mainly throng traffic signals these days, or places of worship. Don%26#39;t think they would be disturbing your walks too much.
I came across ';Unique residency'; from doing a price range check. It was not reviewed,so I am going from the info. provided by hotel.
If its peaceful and organized that is what I am after.
I must have read over 100 reviews, truly. My short list is 4 now.I think because my trip is in July I have over researched maybe.Paralysis by analysis perhaps.
If its not too far, more than 60 mins. from city attractions then OK.I have been trying very hard to get a Eicher city map of Bangalore to try picture how far everything is from each other. So far no luck.
If anyone can recommend a
a. Quite and relaxing hotel in the city
b.Under $80Au
with facilities
Whitefield is the heart of Bangalore%26#39;s IT sector - connectivity, especially by buses is great. However, non-peak hour travel takes around 45 minutes at least to center business district areas. And peak hour travel can go up to 2 hours. Perhaps you can let me know the hotels you have shortlisted, and perhaps I can brief you on the location, and their suitability. From personal experience I know that Nandhini Hotel, Jayanagar is pretty good - I had a couple of my American guests stay there and they loved it. Prices at that time in 2007 was Rs2500.
Bangalore Gate Hotel, seems to have a few good reviews
Casa cottages,private run place
and D%26#39; Habitat Hotel Apartments if i can get it at a special price, doubtful though.Wishful thinking.
also Lake View residency Hotel is one too.I think I can get that about $80au
Thanks and appreciated.
Returned yesterday after a short stay at Terrace Garden, Brunton Cross Road in Bangalore. The B%26amp;B is situated in a quiet residential street and was clean and quiet. I dont know how far it is from the Ashram but it was a comfortable place to relax in.
Just checked out ';Terracegardens'; looks ok
reviews are good even the manager/owner entered the review section to repute a review by someone wanting to harm his business.Never seen that before.
If the same manager/owner is reading this please fix your site webpage I have not been able to send an email to you.
Terrace Gardens is a good place-well located, good value for money, with all basic comforts.
