Does anyone know ????

If you can buy fromaga frais suitable for a baby in cochin and kovellem

Does anyone know ????

I am not sure if you will find Fromage Frais in India so easily - leave alone Cochin or Kovalam.

However, low fat, skimmed milk is available aplenty everywhere and you could possibly whip up the cream as a near substitute.

By the way, is Fromage Frais advised by the docs for a baby? more curious than anything else . . . .

Does anyone know ????

Rajan,

Fromaga frais is advise by doctors and all health pros here in the UK. However low fat milk is not, up until the ge of 5 babies and toddlers should only have full fat milk.

Oh, OK. I did not know Fromage Frais was also advised for babies. I never stop learning something new every day . . . i guess. Thanks.

Skimmed is not an option for babies in India either.

I have not found Fromage Frais even in Mumbai. Perhaps it may actually be available at a gourmet outlet and I do not know, even though I have shopped at a few gourmet outlets.

Natural yoghurt is available. Nestle is a good, reliable brand. Perhaps you could try flavouring with some maple syrup as a substitute? Or add chopped, mashed bananas (the tiny, sweet, delicious yellow ones - they are called Cherupazham / Knjalipoovan / Chundillakannan in Kerala) and sugar (or without sugar) as Indians do. Babies love it. My kids did as babies.

However, if your baby likes only fromage frais and no substitute, it could be difficult going.
