Betalbatim - Martin's Comfort March 29th

Hi there - this will be our 3rd time to Goa after 3 years away and this time we are going to the South for a change. I have been getting tips (thanks Bruahy, Badgerlad and buoyantbabe Helen!)...

I just wondered if anyone has been to Martin%26#39;s Comfort before as reviews are a bit thin on the ground and we are booked now!

We are so excited - am almost packed and will hardly be able to concentrate at work for next 3 weeks - ah well, the NHS will probably never notice the difference - lol.

We are also thinking of booking for 3 weeks @ xmas and wondered if anyone has done Kingfisher Heathrow via Mumbai?

Thanks all,

Becky and Dave - in snowy Yorkshire

Hi Becky %26amp; Dave

Your welcome....

And you%26#39;ll have a fab time

Betalbatim - Martin's Comfort March 29th

If you check on here there is a thread on kingfisher Airline, it is getting very good reviews, with 34in seat pitch and 45kg luggage allowance not all in one case, you can have 32kg in one case i dont think there is a limit to how many cases you take for the hold luggage, 7kg hand luggage,i have booked with them for xmas and new year. we are Staying not far from Martins Comfort.Gel

Woohoo Becky and Dave - I%26#39;m arriving at Martin%26#39;s Comfort on 29 March too! Are you travelling from Gatwick on the 18.10 flight?

I haven%26#39;t been to Goa before but we thought Martin%26#39;s Comfort looked very nice and based on the sparse reviews available decided to just go for it.

Helen and Paul (In sunny but cold South Shields).

Hi Helen,

we fly from Manchester on the 18.40 so should all arrive at a similar time - first ones there get the beers in!!! We booked this on impulse too - we liked the look of Betalbatim and Martins - never been down southern Goa but we liked it well enough in Candolim.

We can hardly wait and are counting the %26#39;sleeps%26#39; (20) and the %26#39;get ups%26#39; (19)...

See you there...

Becky and Dave - (and a bottle of wine)

Mr Smirnhoff and Mr Merlot are making a visitation to our household tonight so we are all in good company...

Hi there - we are going to Martin%26#39;s Comfort on the 21 March so should be well settled in by the time you arrive!!

See you there - really can%26#39;t wait!!

Audrey and Phil

Martin%26#39;s Comfort is a little bit out of the way. I haven%26#39;t stayed there, but I know where it is. I%26#39;m not a fan of Martin%26#39;s Corner restaurant either as I think it%26#39;s extremely overpriced for what it is.

There%26#39;s another restaurant in Betalbatim called 86HD, which is much better IMHO.

From there you can go to Majorda, where there are several good restaurants. I like Palm Shades, which is set back off the road a bit (don%26#39;t be put off by that though - the food%26#39;s good), Pentagon (although the service can be a bit hit and miss), and one on the main road that I%26#39;ve instantly forgotten the name of. Sorry. Fusion in Majorda is VERY expensive, Crab Key used to be excellent, but we had an absolutely average meal there this time and didn%26#39;t go back.

There are other restaurants dotted around, but they tend to be a bit in the middle of nowhere.

Excellent! A TripAdvisor takeover. Diasal is there from 21 March too.

We had a look around Martin%26#39;s Corner last year. It%26#39;s a very nice, comfortable hotel but as LGG said, it is perhaps a bit out of the way.

That%26#39;s okay %26#39;cos by the look of things we%26#39;ve got our own TripAdvisor party going down!

Joknig aside, this was one of the things that made me hesitate but Mister BB and myself don%26#39;t mind stretching our legs so we thought %26#39;what the hey?%26#39; and went for it.
