Can anyone tell me if there is ATM`s in the Dona Sylvia,or in Cavelossium.I have a Nationwide FlexAccount, and dont know if to take cash or just get it out when needed, as there is no charge.
Also do we need to take travel adaptors,as I did read somewhere that DS has standard UK sockets.
How many more sleeps know, Charity.
Dave
Dona Sylvia / CavelossiumCome out of the main entrance and turn left, the ATM is a few minutes walk. Use the ATM I think probably safer all roubd.
Travel adapters - 100% buy them in India - the uk conversion adapters do not fit that great. You will pick them up in the stores just outside your hotel, or your hotel shop for about £1 to £2.
I%26#39;m not sure about the DS having standard UK sockets - if they don%26#39;t just follow the above.
Dona Sylvia / CavelossiumThe socket in the bathroom is a standard UK socket. We tried to buy adaptors but everywhere in Cavelossim had sold out (including the hotel shop) - it was purely by chance that I noticed the bathroom socket, so hubby and I took turns in charging phones etc. until we could buy one.
Yes there is a ATM about 5 minutes walking distance from the Dona Sylvia as you turn left out of the gates walk past the haati mahal hotel and then to your left.
And as said you can easily buy travel adaptors in cavelossim and they%26#39;re much cheaper out there.
Hi Dave,
can u believe we only have 6 more sleeps. Sounds like u r thinking about the last bits and pieces as we are. Sure I have had long enough to make sure I don%26#39;t forget anything but bet I still do lol.
Are you organised yet? Bet u r just a bit excited now.
Hi Charity.
Seems ages since we spoke. Realyy looking forward to this holiday, and we are both ready for it, after the stress of work. Just want to relax, and enjoy everything wonderful thing that others have told us about.
While Im on, has anyone done the ';Jungle Book Trip';, with the Elephants, the one where you stay in the mud huts over night. If so is it worth it and how much does it cost?
Look forward to seeing you Charity, have great time, and good flight.
Dave
Hi Dave,
just found out our daughter is still in remission. It has been a trying year, especially for her and the holiday couldn%26#39;t come at a more perfect time.
Really hope we get the chance to say Hi and have that drink.
Hope u have a good Journey and fab holiday. x
Hi Charity.
I am sorry to hear in your last message that your daughter has been ill,but good news she is in remission. We have been in the same situation with my Brother-in-Law, and his wife.
I agree with you that it is a break that will do you both good.
Best Wishes
Dave
fantastic news Charity :-)) xxx
Thomas Cook do the overnight Jungle trip at £95 and half price for kids under 12.
It was a great experience - it can probably be arranged cheaper if you take a taxi, but you would have to arrange for the driver to pick you up the next day.
Do this trip it was great.
Hi Goanjock and Dave,
