Hotel Four Seasons in Juhu

Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Four Seasons in Juhu, is it a good reputable hotel for families or is it a rowdy one with night clubs and bars. Any information will be very much appreciated.

We arrived at midnight and the hotel graciously picked us up. The lobby of the hotel was clean but pretty shabby. The garden tables beside the driveway looked pleasant enough.

However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that no rooms were available and they would find us one at an alternate hotel. I asked if they had a less expensive room available and we were told ';no';. I asked if they had our reservation on record and they said ';no';. So, I produced a copy of the reservation they had emailed to me. At this point, the man behind the desk got very quiet.

I told them that if they did not have a room, then we would leave and find one ourselves. The deskman told us that no other rooms were available in Mumbai. I asked how he could possibly know that and he said he just knew. I asked then why he was bothering to call other hotels if he knew there were no rooms in Mumbai. He stayed silent.

So, we grabbed our bags, and walked out the door. We were about 20 meters from the hotel entrance when the deskman came running out and told us that he had found a room for us in the hotel. We kept on walking. 400 meters away, we arrived at the Hotel Tulip Star and they had plenty of rooms available.

Now I don%26#39;t know what type of game this fellow was playing. All I can do is restate the facts and let you make up your mind:

1. Upon our arrival, he told us no rooms were available in the Hotel Four Seasons.

2. He said that there were no rooms left in Mumbai.

3. Once we made it clear that we were leaving, a room in the Hotel Four Seasons became available.

4. We found a room down the road in spite of the fact that the Hotel Four Seasons told us there were none available in Mumbai.

There is a Four Seasons in Lower Parel/Worli Area. An upmarket hotel, amongst the best in Mumbai. No worries.
