We are flying from Manchester on 28 March but have been hearing horror stories about them ever since.we%26#39;ve tried for upgrades but have been told sold out, please someone give us hope of survival!
Monarch
Flown to Goa with Monarch 7 times
Always book Legroom Give them a ring.
See if they have any left
Monarchplease dont worry, i have flown at least 10 times with them an dnever had a bad flight, never once late going ou tor coming back, speak as you find have agood holiday going myself april 6th from manchester
Gin and tonic works...eventually.
They are not that bad ozthatwas, my husband and I are average height and we dont have any problem with legroom. You just have to grin and bear it, its worth it!
Hiya ozthatwas
Splash out and book the airport lounge, get your monies worth (i.e. p**sed) and there is no problem!!!! lol
It is a means to an end! Wonderful Goa!!
Linda
Sit back, close your eyes and dream of what is at the end of the journey.
The flight is such a small part of the holiday so don%26#39;t worry, just enjoy yourself (after all, you could be still at home freezing).
I agree Charity, no matter how much you spend on upgrades its not going to make that flight good, I would rather grin and bear it and keep my money to spend when I get there! Ahh that first breath you take when you get off that plane, the smells of Goa! It makes it all worthwhile!
I%26#39;ve had no problems after 10 return flights with Monarch. Try to get extra legroom, at £30 per person each way it%26#39;s money well spent. If you can%26#39;t get it, as has already been said, just try to think of your holiday that%26#39;s still to come.
Air travel is not very pleasant at the best of times, IMO, unless of course, you travel first/business class on a scheduled flight!
It%26#39;ll all be worth it in the end, and I%26#39;m really envious!
AS is said of many things! You always get to hear of complaints but only hear the good things occasionally. I also fly with Monarch soon and will make my own mind up as some people are always more fussy than others. At the time of booking i would have had to spend £250 a person more to go to exactly the same hotel for the same period of time with First Choice, Simple choice really as long as it gets me there safely i%26#39;m not bothered. Not to forget those with longer legs like myself will be quite happy for a short break in Bahrain.
Last year i flew with Thomas Cook on a similar plane to those Monarch still fly. Ok i could have been a bit more comfortable but i was ok and flew direct with no leg stretch stop!
Recommended long haul legroom: 32 ';. Monarch, 28/29';. I am 5 foot 11 but found Monarch steerage class appalling. They are not known as DVT airlins for nothing.
