I am planning on being in Pushkar for the Camel Fair this year. I had hoped to be there for the start of the Fair (to see the camel trading etc) but my itinerary now puts me there for the end (31 Oct, 1 Nov %26amp; 2 Nov). Should I spend 2 or 3 days?
Pushkar Camel FairIf you are there in the end and have no other places to visit, why not stay for all 3 days.
Pushkar Camel FairPrior to arriving in Pushkar my itinerary is:
* Udaipur - 3 nights
* Narlai - 2 nights
* Luni - 1 night
* Jodhpur - 2 nights
* Pushkar - 3 nights
etc, etc, etc.
Should I spend a 2nd night in Luni and then only spend 2 nights in Pushkar? I%26#39;m sure the Camel Fair can keep me occupied for 2 full days and on the 3rd day I can explore the various other sights around Pushkar. With accommodation during the Camel Fair being 3-5 times the usual price I%26#39;m not wanting to spend unnecessary time in Pushkar.
Generaly travelers give 1-2nights to pushkar and you are on special event ';Camel fair'; better give three days. 2nd Nov.(Monday) is fullmoon night, during day many peoples take a dip in holly lake(pushkar Raj). good to arrive couple of day advance to have glimps of actual fair(Animal ground).
replace your luni stay to fort Khimsar is nice country-side Heritage hotel.

Narlai is good for 1night, if you are not doing any special activity aroud%26#39;Horse ride%26#39;
you may can think of this plan.
Udaipur 2night.
Narlai 1night
Jodhpur 2 night
Osian 1 night(small desert oasis, chance to sleep under the stars.
Fort Khimsar 1 night
(welcomheritagehotels.com/Khimsar_Fort_Khimsa…)
and drive further to
Pushkar-2-3nights.
Cheers

An excellent piece of advice from GuideDesert. Osian is a good place for camel safari and desert camping.
You can spend one night at Fort Khejarla,it is 85 kms from Jodhpur and enroute to Pushkar.
Pushkar is just 120 kms from Khejarla.
visit thier website www.jodhpurfortkhejarla.com
Two day at Pushkar would be enough.
Than it is your choice.
