Going back to Baga

Hi all,

I went to Goa last March and had the most wonderful time. My and my bf are getting married in November and we are thinking or going back for our Honeymoon as we loved it so much. I have a few questions and would be grateful if anyone could help me out.

1)where is good to stay in Baga area? We statyed at Sun Villege in Apora last time but dont want all inclusive again. As its our Honeymoon we dont mind somewhere a bit more on the expensive side but no Marriott prices!

2)Whats the waether like in November? In March it was sooo humid

3)why are the markets closed?

Thanks,

Laura x

Going back to Baga

Aww congratulations!

Have you considered the South? Just thinking with it being your honeymoon and things that maybe the South is a bit more romantic (not that I%26#39;ve been to the North I should add)

Wherever you choose to stay, have a fantastic first holiday as husband and wife.

Somebody else will come along and answer your questions lol

Going back to Baga

Hi Laura

Ingos market is open again...under a new name.

Weather in Nov is great...

Thanks for your replies so far. Just wanted to add we will be taking my 9 year old daughter who didnt come last time as she was on holiday with her dad. I did think about the south but was worried it would be too quiet for her? Although we definatly want to do a few nights in that area.

Congratulationa Laura, We%26#39;ve just come back from Arpora and stayed at the Riviera de Goa. It was a 4star hotel and absolutly fantastic. We took our 10yr old daughter with us. Even though there was no kids club or entertainment etc she loved the holiday. It really is a lovely hotel, if u stay round the pool they serve you at your beds with food and drink, the rooms are really nice too. If you read up on this hotel ignore the reports cause we found it fabulous. Good luck for the wedding and hope this as helped...Kelly :o)

Wow just looked at the website for this hotel and it looks amazing. Who did you book with? x

Hi, we stay at the Marinha Dourada in Arpora B and B.

2 good pools, 2 beautiful lakes and a play area on the other side of the lakes.Have a look at their web site www.madogoa.com. Congrats by the way - have a wonderful honeymoon, you couldn%26#39;t have picked a better place!!

Hi Laura, first of all I%26#39;d like to congratulate both of you for november. In all honesty there isn%26#39;t anywhere in Baga other than the Ronil which is of the standard that your looking for, having stayed at the Sun Village myself I understand what you mean. As has been mentioned the Marinha Dorada is a very suitable hotel for a honeymoon or there are a couple in Candolim which I%26#39;m sure people will give you advice on. In my opinion I wouldn%26#39;t stay in Baga for a honeymoon especially as you have your daughter with you, there are far better places to stay. The night market is back on now at Ingos and the wednesday market is going strong, all the best for the future.

Hi soz its took so long to reply we booked with Thomas Cook, it cost us £1750 for 2 weeks bed n breakfast which we thiught was good, as it costs us £1500 to go to spain, and that was me hubby and 10yr old....if you you will enjoy it...if u dont then i%26#39;m sorry, we loved it.....have a good wedding and a fantastic honeymoon x;o)

Thanks for all the replies. I really appreciate all the advice. xx
