Back on Sunday..

Hi everyone,

So we returned last Sunday and now back at work.. Still a little bit jet lagged, nearly falling asleep here.

It was our first time in Goa and I would return back (as soon as I visited other destinations on my list:-))

I will write hotel review etc later on in the week, but just quick summary for now:

*I found all the people extremely friendly

*The words ';taxi, taxi'; are still ringing in my ears:-))

*I would never EVER fly again long haul with Monarch

*The Bistro restaurant next to Whispering Palms hotel is fantastic

*Buy trips from locals, not from travel agents - it%26#39;s much cheaper

*Definitely worth a visit to the tailor shop (handmade ladies shirts for £7!!)

And last but not least - please don%26#39;t talk to me about curry for the next couple of months!!:-))

Going on all English diet for near future:-))

Back on Sunday..

Hi AnyB, glad you had a lovely first visit and welcome back to reality :)

I know what you mean about %26#39;taxi%26#39;. You end up thinking it%26#39;s your name!

Look forward to the review later when you are properly awake!

Back on Sunday..

Yeah, Taxi and also ';maybe tomorrow??';:-)))

Me thinking - I don%26#39;t know what I am doing in the next hour, never mind tomorrow:-))

Lol, yeah and I look forward to hearing those words at the end of NEXT WEEK!!!

Woo-hoo!!!

Glad you enjoyed your first visit to Goa...My first visit is less than 2 weeks away now!

Once you have recovered from your jet lag %26amp; ear ringing, please, please post info about which trips you did?

Many thanks

Welcome back AnyB,

really looking forward to reading your report and looking forward to seeing the report.

Only 11 more sleeps for us, yippee!

Hi Susie,

We did the Doplhin spotting trip, which we booked with John%26#39;s boats - that was 850 rupees.

I really enjoyed the trip, apart from the Coco Beach part. I don%26#39;t understand why do they still take tourists there - it%26#39;s really horrible.

We%26#39;ve seen loads of dolphins and they also showed us the prison and diamond merchant%26#39;s house on the coast. It was very interesting.

Than we went for the waterfall trip - this we booked with Dennis at the String Fellos beach shack (we also stayed at this shack most of the days).

He sent a driver (Sam, very nice guy) with a jeep for us in the morning and there was noone else but us. We paid 1300 rupees a person, but than we didn%26#39;t pay anything else - Sam paid the entrance to the park, bought us bananas for the monkeys, water and made us sandwiches.

I 100% recommend this trip. It was amazing. On the way there, we sat on the back of the jeep and felt the nice breeze in our hair, while watching the people as we were driving through villages.

At the park the monkeys go really close if you have banana and are not shy at all.

The waterfall as such is amazing - and there is a lagoon below it where you can swim.

Wear your bikini though - there is no chance of changing into them, so to be able to swim you will need to have them on all day.
