It looks from the BBC weather sites to be nothing but heavy rain and thunderstorms both for the last few days and into next week is this inaccurate?

If you keep an eye on this thread you will see the weather we are having in Kovalam on a daily basis.

The forecasts of thunder heavy rain etc that you see is for Thiravananthapuram which is 16KM away from here so whilst that area has a deluge it can still be dry in Kovalam.

Two days ago the next village of Vizhinjam had a downpour whilst Kovalam some 2 KM away was bright and sunny but we did hear some rumbles of thunder.
