Thomas Cook

Does anyone know how hot T/C are on your bags you take in the cabin.Do they go by weight of 5kgs or more by size or both.

Also coming back from Goa how hot are they on the weight of your cases,or is it like Egypt, give them a little bakshee, lol.

Chris.

They are on the ball with weight at Goa Airport. aslo pretty strict in uk with TCook

I work at Glasgow airport (not for TC), and because of the credit crunch, some airlines are weighing your hand luggage, (another way of getting our money).

With regards to the size of the bag, that is more down to security, in Edinburgh they check everthing that looks big, and they will send you back to check in to check your bag in.

Depends what airport your flying from and if its the BAA or local security.

Thanks guys, oops!! better watch my weight then.

Chris.

Don%26#39;t know about Thomas Cook, we flew with Thomsons/First Choice. At Goa Airport they put everything on the scales together inc hand luggage to check that we weren%26#39;t over the weight limit.

Just another way to stop us putting our hard earned rupees into the local economy....The stricter the airline gets with weight, the less souveniers we will be able to bring home!

Susie.

Susie you are so right, think i will have to wear all my souveniers home, soon they will start weighing us,lol.

I will go out 9 and 1/2 stone come back 12 stone,lol.

Yeah....they can%26#39;t stop us bringing 14 curries home...yumm..lol

Imagine all the excess baggage they could charge if they weighed us going into Goa, and then weighed us on the way out after eating all that lovely food, and knocking back the Kings beer, and calculated the extra weight we were carrying!

I don%26#39;t think they would have let my OH on the plane!!LOL
