Arriving at New Delhi international airport

How difficult will I find it to get a taxi from New Delhi airport? Some people are advising me that I should pay my hotel to collect me but it will charge me 拢40 to go into centre of New Delhi. Is this reasonable? How much would a taxi from the airport typically cost?

Getting a taxi from New Delhi airport is not such a big problem. There are pre paid taxi counters available within the arrival hall and you can use them.

You can pre book a taxi even from UK also. Following are some of the Cab companies operating in Delhi and their numbers..Indian callers have to prefix city code of 011 and international callers will have to usecountry code (+91) and city code (011)

The cost will depend on your destination. Suppose you are staying at Connaught Place, the distance is around 17-18 KMs from IGIA. So the radio Taxi charges will be around Rs. 300/- only.

An Auto (tuk tuk) should charge you around Rs. 100-125 Rs. for the same travel.

Hiring those cabs would be good idea,but to be on more safer side,its better to prearrange ur pickup from ur hotel,it would be not a big deal ,but u will surely reach ur hotel..

Next best is to take pre-paid taxis from the counter inside the terminal as you exit the customs hall. Rates are fixed depening on where youre going. If you go outside and throw yourself to the sharks, youre dead meat.

If you pre book a radio cab via internet or through phone call it%26#39;s the safe and most in expensive way. It%26#39;s 100% reliable, efficient %26amp; hassle free service.

Next best thing would be to ask your hotel for pick-up. However be prepared to pay a much higher cost.

last thing is to take a taxi from pre paid booth, on the way taxi driver may try to hardsell you a hotel of his choice or may tell you that your chosen hotel has been closed down or there are riots in that area blh blah......

Just don%26#39;t try to get a taxi outside the arrival hall. It%26#39;s fish market out there and they%26#39;ll ask for exorbitant prices + hotel hardsell would be there.

no problem at all, just take a cab from Pre Paid Taxi Counter (yellow and black cab) not the airconditioned one, as they will cost more.

it will take around 225/- for Connaught Place.

there is a pre paid taxi desk at the airport where you pay for your fair and receive a ticket, so you do not have to argue a fare with the taxi driver. but dont give your ticket to the driver till you arrive at the hotel you requested.
