Booking directly with Highland Beach

Hi Guys,

After a fantastic trip to Candolim in November we are wanting to return over the Christmas and New Year period. Does anyone know if it is possible to book accommdation directly with the Highland Beach hotel? I know it can sometimes be more beneficial to book your flights and accommodation separately.

Any info would be appreciated!

Many Thanks

Booking directly with Highland Beach

Yes you can book directly we did it about 6 years ago you can email the general manager kiran kerkir but as all the appt%26#39;s are privatelly owend it would be cheper to fined one of these ? a 2 bed one is around £150 + a week, we have just come back today from the Highland and had a good time as always, the only thing to say is the taxi drivers out side the Highland like to rip you off so we will not use them

Booking directly with Highland Beach

You can book directly but I would use phone or fax as they tend not to respond to email, especially via their website.

Many of the apartments are privately owned and some can be found on rental websites such as holidayrentals.co.uk and ownersdirect.co.uk. The privately rented ones may have more facilities or be more comfortably furnished than the basic Highland apartments. It could even work out cheaper, depending on the price the hotel charges but prices do tend to be at least double the normal rate over Christmas and New Year.

If you are only going for a couple of weeks, I don%26#39;t think you will get a lower rate than the package holiday as tour operators get discounts that you would not get if you booked direct with the hotel.

Many thanks for your replies guys, will check out those websites. However, there may be a slight change of plan.... i am travelling with my parents and as we went to Candolim and stayed at the Highland in November, my dad would prefer to try a completely different resort. This is where i need some real help and advice!!! We all loved Candolim, great choice of bars and restaurants and great to go out for a stroll of an evening so bearing this in mind.... any suggestions?!!!

We won%26#39;t want anywhere too quiet but equally probably dont want to be anywhere too bustling like Baga either. I%26#39;d be happy to return to Candolim but as many will agree, its never the same the second time round!

Hi

I done this for 6 years booked flight then contacted the manager to book in. Haven%26#39;t stayed for 2 years now as the greed set in!!!

I was there in January and enquired at the Highland for a friend of mine who wanted a 2 bedroomed apartment at the Highland as had her grandson and his friend their 1st time in Goa, the price they wanted on the desk was silly money, £80ish a night!!! These are not Indian prices??

Fortunately a lady i know looks after a two bed there for an english lady and they got it for £40.00 per night but then thats is still expensive compared to what we used to get the Highland for.

The inflation in Goa hasn%26#39;t increased that much, just think they are very greedy now and out pricing themselves. My advice would be a package deal.

Good Luck

Hi

Just read you other post, I think you should stay Candolim again, yes agree it wont be the same but it will probably be better if you enjoyed november. When you arrive you can chill out right away as you will know the area. Maybe stay further along towards the Tai Hotel its quiter but you will still be close enough to visit.

I have been many times to Candolim there has been a lot of changes over the years but then each visit has been different. You could aloways explore south for your next visit? Agonda reminds me of what Candolim used to be like but you might find it too quiet?
