Kashmir Trip and Srinagar DAL Boat house a Memorable one...

In the month of February after much of uncertainty 3 of school friend landed in snow covered srinagar. We took a direct cab to Gulmarg but the drive denied to take us till Gulmarg and charged us 1000 INR for 45 kms (Tangmarg). From Tangmarg we had to take another cab for 18 kms. We were charged 550 INR. Once we reached Gulmarg we were mesmerized by the scenic beauty and the white pure snow. We even experienced snow fall. Next day we roam across Gulmarg and went up till Phase 2 in Gondola. That was a memorable life time experience but couldn鈥檛 enjoy much out of it as we had to return within a short span of time due to bad weather. Ski was another fascinating sport for us which we had enjoyed a lot doing. Two days were enough for us make a plan for the next year.

As we returned to Srinagar we were received by the house owner which we booked earlier and the experience was pretty nice. Though from the review that we read, we were bit conscious and suspicious about the service that they would provide but turned out to be opposite. The owner and his son were really cooperative and our expenses just got cut down to half. Diamond House owner arranged a Quails for us for the local sight seeing and Pahelgam two times Sikara ride was also to the Packege. Above all House boat owner son ';TARIQ'; was an all time free guide. I would rate their house boat 4 out of 5 and their behavior and service as 5 out of 5. I would recommend a SIKARA ride in the winter night when the temperature touches negative; one can have a splendid experience of frozen DAL along with its scenic beauty...
